External Patrols 15 injuries during the feast and 3 traffic accidents yesterday

Khaberni - Captain Mahdi Al-Hamoud from the External Patrols Administration stated that traffic was very active on most of the kingdom's roads, particularly the vital ones, pointing out that traffic patrols were thoughtfully distributed across different areas to enhance public safety.

Al-Hamoud explained that a comprehensive traffic plan was implemented during the Eid Al-Fitr period, which included intensified traffic monitoring and providing humanitarian assistance to road users.

Despite repeated warnings, a number of severe violations were detected, most notably high speeds that exceeded 202 km/h and 192 km/h, in addition to apprehending a vehicle speeding at 181 km/h on Al-Azraq road, and another in the Aqaba area.

He noted that 15 traffic accidents were dealt with during the Eid period, varying between rollovers, collisions, and pedestrian strikes, resulting in two fatalities and 16 injuries ranging from moderate to severe.

Al-Hamoud noted that last midnight, an accident involving a collision between three vehicles on the desert highway was handled, resulting in two moderate injuries. The injured were transported to Al-Karak Government Hospital, while the accident caused a temporary blockage of the left lane.

Last evening, another collision occurred on the desert highway between cargo vehicles, one a tanker loaded with phosphoric acid, and another a trailer, without recording any injuries, but the incident led to the spill of the loaded material.

In a separate incident, a private vehicle rollover was witnessed on the Naour-Amman road, resulting in a moderate injury that was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Al-Hamoud confirmed that the patrols also dealt with a number of disabled vehicles on the roads, urging drivers to adhere to traffic rules to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
