The maximum and minimum temperatures in East Amman range between 16 - 7 degrees Celsius, in West Amman 14 - 5, in the northern highlands 12 - 4, in the Shara highlands 11 - 3, in the desert areas 18 - 6, in the plains areas 16 - 7, in the northern Jordan Valley 24 - 10, in the southern Jordan Valley 26 - 14, in the Dead Sea 25 - 13, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 26 - 14 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department warns in its report of the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility in the morning hours due to fog formation in the mountainous highlands and parts of the plains, and of slipping on roads experiencing rainfall.
On Wednesday, the weather will be relatively cold in most areas and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with clouds appearing at different altitudes. Gradually, the kingdom will be affected by a strong case of atmospheric instability and cloud amounts will increase, and, God willing, rain is expected to begin from the southern regions including Aqaba and later extend to include several areas of the kingdom including the capital, Amman.
The rainfall will be heavy in some areas accompanied by thunder and hail, which may lead to the formation of floods in valleys and low-lying areas including Aqaba and the Dead Sea, and winds will be moderate to brisk westerly to north-westerly.
During the night hours, the kingdom will be affected by a cold and moist air mass accompanying a low-pressure system, making the weather cold and cloudy with occasional rain in the north and center of the kingdom, gradually extending to other regions and it will be heavy, especially in the western parts of the kingdom, accompanied by thunder and hail, and winds will be moderate to brisk westerly to north-westerly.
On Thursday, the kingdom will remain under the influence of the cold and moist air mass, with a noticeable decrease in temperatures, and the weather will be cold, cloudy, and rainy in most regions, and the rain is expected to be occasionally heavy in some areas accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to the formation of floods and rising water levels in valleys and low-lying areas in many regions including Aqaba and the Dead Sea.
In the early morning hours, there is a chance of light snow showers mixed with rain on the high southern mountain peaks (Al-Sharah) for a short period, and winds will be active westerly with strong gusts reaching (60 km/h).
On Friday, there will be a slight rise in temperatures, and the weather will be cold and partly to sometimes cloudy with occasional rain in the western parts of the kingdom, and winds will be moderate to brisk westerly with occasionally strong gusts, and in the evening hours the rainfall will gradually decrease and wind speed will reduce.
