Gold Resurges in Jordan on Mondays Third Pricing

Khaberni - Gold prices in the local market have resumed their rise, according to the third pricing issued by the General Union of Owners of Jewelry Trade and Craftsmanship Shops, registering consecutive gains throughout Monday compared to the first and second pricings.

The selling price of 21-carat gold in the third pricing reached 89.9 Jordanian Dinars for sales purposes from the goldsmiths, compared to 85.3 Dinars for buying, an increase of 3.6 Dinars compared with the second pricing where it was recorded at 86.3 Dinars, and a difference of 5.6 Dinars from the first pricing which was 84.3 Dinars.

Gold had initially increased in the second pricing, where the selling price of 21-carat gold reached about 86.3 Dinars compared to 81.9 Dinars for buying, compared with 84.3 Dinars for selling and 79.9 Dinars for buying in the first pricing.

The prices of other carats also increased in the second pricing, where the selling price of 24-carat gold reached about 98.8 Dinars, 18-carat about 76.5 Dinars, and 14-carat about 60.1 Dinars.

The third pricing showed a continued rise, as the selling prices for 24, 18, and 14 carats reached about 102.8 Dinars, 79.6 Dinars, and 62.5 Dinars respectively.

Gold prices had seen a sharp decrease when comparing the pricings of Sunday and Monday (the first pricing), where the price of 21-carat gold gram decreased by 7.1 Dinars, before it gradually resumed rising during the three Monday pricings.
