Khaberni - Alisha Lehmann, dubbed the most beautiful soccer player in the world, revealed that she used to beg her mother to allow her to quit soccer after she lost her love for the sport due to the abuse she suffered.
Alisha Lehmann, 27, made her name in the WSL league with clubs such as West Ham, Aston Villa, and Everton.
In 2024, she made a notable move alongside her then-boyfriend Douglas Luiz to Juventus from Villa, and left the Italian giant for Como after a season, but she is now back in England playing for Leicester City.
The beautiful Swiss has become a global star on social media with nearly 16 million followers on "Instagram".
She has another 11.8 million followers on "TikTok" and has appeared on fashion show platforms in Milan with her stunning looks.
However, her large platform has also made her a target for online bullies, which harmed her passion for soccer.
The Swiss star told BBC, "When I was younger, it affected me more because I didn’t know how to handle the situation".
She added, "There were times when I was very sad and I would ask my mother if I could no longer play soccer. Soccer is something I love very much and it’s where I spent the greatest amount of time I rest well, I sleep every night and won’t do anything before training or a match that affects my playing style."
"People don’t know how much effort I actually put in when they say 'Oh, she isn’t a soccer player'."
"But now I’m fine. I love my life and the people around me and am not affected by them."
Lehmann has built a successful career for herself both on and off the field, and has faced criticism for the content of her lifestyle, where trolls claim she’s not professional.
She added, "Sometimes it's frustrating."
"People don’t see the work I put in; they think I train and then go home to make TikToks, which isn’t true. I’m very professional, always give my best, and want to be the best."
"People can think whatever they want but everything I do is focused on being the best player I can be."
