Khaberni - Vegetable prices at the central market have returned to normal after the end of Ramadan, following increases experienced during the previous period due to increased demand.
The quantities of vegetables delivered to the central wholesale market of the Greater Amman Municipality, today Monday, amounted to 2161 tons, while the quantity of fruits was 350 tons and leafy greens were 118 tons.
According to the central market bulletin and the price list of items received today, according to the lowest and highest price per kilogram, the price of Baladi eggplant ranged from 10-20 piastres, dry onions 17-30 piastres, potatoes 25-50 piastres, tomatoes 35-60 piastres, green garlic 60-100 piastres, carrots 20-30 piastres, lettuce 20-30 piastres, cucumber 20-40 piastres, cauliflower 20-35 piastres, zucchini 15-30 piastres, lemons 70-120 piastres, cabbage 15-25 piastres, and local bananas 50-70 piastres.
