Newspaper London Paris and Berlin in the Range of Iranian Missiles

Khaberni - The British "Telegraph" reported that the Iranian strike on the "Diego Garcia" base in the Indian Ocean raised concerns among experts about the ability of Tehran's missiles to reach locations in Europe.
The newspaper wrote that defense analysts indicated that the Iranian strike on the base, which is 2400 miles (more than 3800 km) from Iran, could be evidence that Europe, including Britain, is not safe from Iranian missiles.

The newspaper quoted former Israeli Air Force commander General Ran Kohav saying that "London, Paris, Berlin, and all the European capitals are now within the firing range of Iran in a documented manner."

Iran used the "Khorramshahr 4" ballistic missile, weighing 20 tons and capable of carrying 80 cluster munitions, to target the "Diego Garcia" base.

Experts believe its range reaches about 3000 kilometers, meaning it is capable of reaching Western military bases in southern and eastern Europe, including Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, the Balkans, and possibly also Italy, Austria, and Germany.

The Israeli military said the range of the mentioned missile might reach 4000 km, putting Britain in the range of those missiles.

Experts speaking with the "Telegraph" noted that it is unknown whether Iran possesses the technology to successfully launch missiles such a distance, but reaching targets like "Diego Garcia" is theoretically possible.

It is noted that Iran launched two missiles towards the British-American base on Diego Garcia Island in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. Neither of them reached their target.

According to reports, one of the missiles was intercepted by an "SM-3" intercept missile, launched from a U.S. warship in the region.
