Khaberni - The U.S. State Department has issued a warning to its citizens worldwide, especially in the Middle East region, about increasing security risks. It called on them to exercise the highest degree of caution.
The department emphasized in a statement published on the "X" platform the need for Americans abroad to adhere to the guidelines issued by the U.S. embassies and consulates in the countries where they reside or travel.
It warned: "U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, might be targeted,"
The U.S. State Department added: "Iran-backed groups might target other U.S. interests abroad or locations associated with the United States or Americans around the world."
It confirmed that recurring closures of airspace could cause widespread disruptions in travel movement.
The United States and Israel began on February 28 to bomb targets in Iran, including Tehran, resulting in damage and civilian casualties. In response, Iran is launching retaliatory strikes on Israel, targeting U.S. military goals in the Middle East.
