Khaberni - MP Yenal Freihat challenged former Minister of Information Sameeh Al-Maaytah in a direct public debate in front of the Jordanian people, in response to a tweet by Al-Maaytah accusing the Islamic Action Front party of being subordinate to foreign entities and working against the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Freihat, a member of the Islamic Action Front party bloc, stated in his response that "the magnitude of the accusations Al-Maaytah made cannot be answered with a simple tweet," declaring his full readiness to open all files and present evidence in a direct confrontation, inviting the media and civil society institutions to host this meeting "today rather than tomorrow" to serve as the final judgement of public opinion.
The MP emphasized in his message to Al-Maaytah the need to prepare well for this confrontation, alluding to his historical background both professionally and politically, specifically the period when he was "supported" by the Islamic movement and worked in its media office, up to the stage he called "his coup and his assumption of high official and advisory positions."
