Scandal within the Most Dangerous Naval Fleets Dozens of Sailors Using Drugs on British Nuclear Submarines

Khaberni  - The Telegraph, citing data from the British Ministry of Defence, reported that more than 170 sailors serving aboard British nuclear submarines were caught using prohibited substances.

The newspaper wrote: "Over the past seven years, more than 170 Royal Navy sailors serving in the elite nuclear submarine force were caught using prohibited substances."

It was specifically noted that cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy, and stimulants were found in the blood of most submarine crew members.

According to these data, prohibited substances were found in the bodies of 175 submarine personnel between 2018 and 2024. Traces of prohibited substances were found in 52 of these military personnel during their service onboard a submarine.

The majority of the British Navy personnel who were proven to have used prohibited substances were dismissed, and some might have escaped punishment due to mitigating circumstances.

According to the newspaper, some of these sailors served on Vanguard-class strategic nuclear submarines.
