Khaberni - The Ministry of Local Administration confirmed that it monitors and deals with all observations received in various regions of the Kingdom, due to the unstable weather conditions experienced by the Kingdom.
The ministry stated today that the central operations room operates around the clock in coordination with all operations rooms in all regions, and continues its direct coordination with municipalities, joint services councils, and municipal affairs directorates, to ensure a quick response to any emergency that may arise from the weather situation.
The ministry explained that the operations rooms in the municipalities operate in continuous coordination with the administrative governors, civil defense staff, and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, to follow up on observations immediately and address any blockages or water accumulations and ensure the sustainability of services provided to the citizens.
The ministry urged citizens and residents to exercise the utmost caution and vigilance, to stay completely away from stream paths and low-lying areas prone to flash floods, and to avoid crossing roads in case of high water levels, to preserve their safety and properties.
According to the Meteorological Department's forecasts, the Kingdom will be affected by a weather depression that will bring rain showers from time to time in the north of the Kingdom, gradually extending to include other areas, with expectations of their intensity in the north and center which may lead to flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas including the Dead Sea. It is also expected, there will be significant activity of westerly winds and strong gusts that may reach speeds of 60 km/h, causing dust lifting and reducing horizontal visibility, especially in desert areas.
The ministry pointed to the importance of following the official weather bulletins and adhering to the instructions of the relevant authorities.
