Khaberni - Last analyses of numerical models and satellite data indicate that the Kingdom will witness cold and partly cloudy conditions today, Saturday, gradually turning into cloudy, with showers from time to time in various areas including Aqaba and the Dead Sea. Showers may occasionally be heavy, especially in the north and central regions, accompanied by thunder and hail, increasing the risk of floods in valleys and low-lying areas including the Dead Sea area. Western winds will also be active with strong gusts for limited periods, which could reach speeds of up to 60 km/h in some areas, stirring dust in desert areas.
The Meteorological Administration warns of the risk of floods in valleys and low-lying areas, the severity of wind speeds and strong gusts at times, and the reduction in horizontal visibility due to dust, in addition to the risk of thunderstorms and hail, urging caution especially on roads.
The weather will continue on Sunday to be cold and partly to fully cloudy, with rain showers from time to time in the north and central regions and parts of the eastern areas, which may be accompanied by thunder at times in the north, while precipitation weakens gradually during evening and night hours.
On Monday and Tuesday, a slight increase in temperatures occurs with the weather remaining relatively cold and partly to fully cloudy, with a chance for light and scattered rain showers, especially in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom and for short periods, with continued warnings of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and dust, in addition to the risk of slipping on roads during precipitation.
The Meteorological Administration urges citizens to keep updating themselves regularly and to adhere to the guidelines, especially in areas prone to flooding and desert roads
