Khaberni - Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Saturday that the "pace of strikes," both Israeli and American, on Iran "will increase significantly" in the coming days.
A statement quoted Katz during an assessment meeting stating, "The pace of strikes to be carried out by Israeli forces and the U.S. military against the Iranian regime and the infrastructure it relies on will increase significantly starting Sunday."
Katz added, "The campaign led by U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister (of Israel) Benjamin Netanyahu will continue (...) and we will not stop unless all the objectives of the war are achieved."
The war with Iran entered its 22nd day, after erupting on February 28, 2026, following widespread aerial strikes by the United States and Israel as part of the operations "Epic Fury" and "Lion's Roar," targeting vital and military installations and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, leading to the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, along with a number of senior officials and leaders, including the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and prominent leaders in the Revolutionary Guard.
In response, Iran launched "True Promise 4," firing hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region, and closing the Strait of Hormuz, causing a spike in energy prices.
