Khaberni - The Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army and the Directorate of Public Security, on Saturday, issued a statement regarding the repercussions of the war in the region on the kingdom during the third week since its onset.
The Military Media Directorate stated that the Jordanian Armed Forces dealt with dozens of rockets and drones launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory, which targeted the kingdom with 36 rockets and drones.
It was clarified that the Royal Air Force intercepted and destroyed 14 rockets and 21 drones, while the defenses could not repel one attack.
The total number of rockets and drones launched towards the kingdom since the start of the war reached 240, with the Royal Air Force successfully intercepting and destroying 222 rockets and drones, while the defenses failed to intercept 18 rockets and drones.
The Military Media Directorate emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces are performing their duty in protecting the homeland and defending it from any aggression, and are striving with all their capabilities to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
On his part, the spokesperson for the Directorate of Public Security stated that the number of reports resulting from the fallout of rockets and drones dealt with by the Civil Defense and Police forces this week reached 114, and were mostly related to falling objects and debris in most provinces during the past week.
It was reported that the Civil Defense handled one injury to a child due to the events that occurred last week; his condition was good and he left the hospital after receiving the necessary treatment.
The spokesperson for the Directorate of Public Security indicated that the total fallout since the start of the war reached 414, while the total number of injuries amounted to 24, with all the injured having left the hospitals.
The spokesperson renewed the warning against gathering or meddling with any suspicious object or debris due to their danger, stressing the importance of adhering to the advice and instructions that were published through the official bodies for citizens and residents.
He urged everyone to notify the security services upon seeing any suspicious object via the emergency number 911, emphasizing the importance of following instructions and relying on information issued from official sources and not to circulate rumors and misleading news.
