Bahrain Interception and Destruction of 143 Missiles and 242 Drones Since the Start of Iranian Assaults

Khaberni - The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced on Saturday that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 143 missiles and 242 drones that targeted Bahrain since the start of the Iranian assaults.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force urged the public to adhere to the highest degree of caution and vigilance for their safety, to stay completely away from the affected sites and any suspicious objects, not to photograph military operations or locations where debris fell, to refrain from spreading rumors, and to ensure information is received from official sources.

It emphasized that the use of ballistic missiles and drones targeting civilian targets and private property constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, stating these random attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.

The war with Iran entered its 22nd day, having erupted on February 28, 2026, following extensive airstrikes by the United States and Israel in operations "Epic Wrath" and "Lion's Roar," targeting vital and military infrastructures and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, resulting in the death of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, alongside several high-ranking officials and leaders, including the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, and prominent leaders in the Revolutionary Guards.

In response, Iran executed "True Promise 4" operation, by launching hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region, along with closing the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a surge in energy prices.
