Press Release Issued by the Jordan Engineers Association on the Anniversary of the Battle of AlKaramah

Khaberni - The Jordan Engineers Association proudly and honorably recalls the anniversary of the Battle of Al-Karamah, that pivotal moment in Jordanian national history, when will turned into action, dignity into a stance, and land into a battlefield where Jordanians wrote a bright page in the annals of pride and resilience.

The Battle of Al-Karamah occurred at a crucial moment in the region's history, at a time when frustration was pervasive in the Arab psyche. It came to affirm that Jordan, with its Hashemite leadership, Arab army, and enduring people, is capable of turning challenges into strengths, and to demonstrate that the national will, when united around duty and rights, becomes an unbreakable force. On the morning of March 21, 1968, the soldiers of the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army stood on the homeland's soil defending its land and sovereignty, and with their sacred blood, they wrote a tale of heroism that will remain alive in the conscience of Jordanians generation after generation.

The dignity was more than a military confrontation; it was a clear declaration that Jordan is a state that knows how to protect its national decision and preserve its dignity, and that its Arab army is a school of honor, discipline, and sacrifice. In that historic moment, the wisdom and courage of the Hashemite leadership represented by the late King Hussein bin Talal shone brightly, who led the nation with confidence and faith in the ability of the Jordanian soldier to defend his land, raising the flag of dignity high and restoring confidence to the nation.

The Jordan Engineers Association, as it revives this enduring national memory, affirms that the Battle of Al-Karamah was a new founding moment for national confidence, and a demonstration that the strength of armies and military institutions is not measured by their arsenal, but by their will and their commitment to their nation and cause.

The Association also expresses its deep pride in the ongoing national role played by the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army, which has always been the protective shield of the nation, the support that preserves its security and stability, and safeguards its achievements in the face of challenges. The Arab Army has been and will remain a symbol of sacrifice, professionalism, and allegiance, and a source of confidence for all Jordanians.

On this national occasion, the Jordan Engineers Association reiterates its commitment to stand behind the wise Hashemite leadership led by King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, and his faithful Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, and to continue working and producing and building institutions, inspired by the spirit of dignity, values of determination, will, and working for the elevation and progress of Jordan.

The commemoration of Al-Karamah is a renewed call to safeguard the national achievement, reinforce the values of unity and belonging, and continue building on the foundations laid by the forefathers, so that Jordan remains the homeland of dignity and glory, secure and stable under its wise Hashemite leadership.

May God have mercy on the martyrs of the nation, protect Jordan and its people, and continue to bless it with peace and stability.
