Khaberni - Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced on Friday that he refused to allow the stationing of two American warplanes on his country's territory during the current month of March, in order to preserve Colombo's neutrality in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Dissanayake said in parliament: "The United States requested the redeployment of two warplanes equipped with eight anti-ship missiles from a base in Djibouti to Mattala International Airport (southern Sri Lanka) from March 4 to March 8."
