Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Jordan Valley Authority warns of the onset of flooding at Al-Tanur Dam in Tafilah Governorate as it approaches its full storage capacity of 14 million cubic meters at 100%, towards the Jordan Valley areas, and also near the filling and flooding of some dams and southern desert cisterns.
The Jordan Valley Authority has called on all citizens, farmers, livestock breeders, and those residing near streambeds and valleys to take necessary precautions, exercise caution, coordinate with municipalities and relevant entities, and not to approach the valley stream.
The ministry urges everyone to continuously follow the ministry/authority's websites to stay informed on the dams' conditions and the possibility of water overflow during the ongoing instability in the kingdom.
