Khaberni - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a press conference today, Thursday, that "Iran no longer has the ability to enrich uranium or manufacture ballistic missiles, just 20 days after the start of the US-Israeli airstrikes on it."
Netanyahu added in a press conference - held in a fortified underground floor, coinciding with the launch of a double missile barrage from Iran and Hezbollah towards northern Israel - that his country "is winning the war, while Iran is being eradicated."
On its part, the Israeli "Walla" website mentioned that the army detected missile launches from Iran and southern Lebanon during Netanyahu's speech, while the Israeli Channel 12 confirmed that the political level received a new assessment indicating that the Iranian regime currently shows no signs of surrender, and is not close to collapse.
Netanyahu addressed the Israeli public saying, "I know it is difficult for Israelis to stay in shelters, but the Israelis' commitment to remain in fortified shelters provides support to the government and the army in military operations."
He assured that the arsenal of Iranian missiles and drones is undergoing "massive deterioration" and will be destroyed, without providing any evidence for his claim that Iran has lost the ability to produce new missiles or enrich uranium.
Netanyahu also stated that the Israeli Air Force destroyed Iran's fleet in the Caspian Sea yesterday, Wednesday, stressing that he has instructed the Israeli army and Mossad to target Iranian regime officials even in the streets.
Netanyahu pointed out that Israel acted alone in regard to the Iranian Pars field, confirming that President Donald Trump has asked him to stop such attacks in the future.
Despite nearly three weeks since the outbreak of the war, Netanyahu considered that "it is too early to speculate whether the Iranians will take to the streets to overthrow their government," adding that "it is up to the Iranian people to choose the right moment and respond to it."
While the confrontations have so far been limited to airstrikes, Netanyahu pointed to the need for "a ground element as well," confirming that there are many possibilities for this option, without giving further details.
Since February 28th, Israel and the United States have been launching attacks on Iran, which have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people, including the guide Ali Khamenei and security officials, while Tehran responds by launching missiles and drones towards Israel.
Iran also targets what it says are American sites and interests in Arab countries, but some of these attacks resulted in casualties and injuries, and caused damage to civilian property, which was condemned by the targeted countries.
