Khaberni - Former Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim considered that "what Israel wants is unfortunately being achieved" and addressed the Iranian leadership hours after targeting the Ras Laffan natural gas processing facility.
Hamad bin Jassim wrote on the "X" platform: "What Israel wants is unfortunately being achieved... Iranian oil facilities are struck, then responses come that hit countries in the region, finding ourselves in a regional war scenario or a confrontation between the shores of the Gulf".
He added: "To the Iranian leadership we say it clearly: We were never your enemies, but what you are doing today is unacceptable and unjustified. These are not targets to be struck to vent anger, and you know full well who the real aggressor is".
The former Qatari Prime Minister continued: "What you are doing now does not deter the enemy, but rather serves him, achieves his goals, and increases the rift between you and the peoples of the region. You are pushing the region towards the abyss of a mad war. I have previously warned of the consequences of such actions that serve only Israel alone".
Israel launched a widespread missile strike yesterday, Wednesday, targeting vital Iranian energy facilities, which damaged the refineries of the "South Pars" gas field in the Assaluyeh region in the south of the country, according to the Iranian "Fars" news agency.
In response, Iran targeted the industrial city of Ras Laffan in Qatar, causing significant damage, leading to the suspension of liquified natural gas production in Ras Laffan, and rising gas prices in global markets.
Subsequently, US President Donald Trump claimed that the United States had no prior knowledge of the Israeli attack on the South Pars gas field in Iran, and that Qatar was not involved in any way.
The "Israel Hayom" newspaper reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed Trump about the attack on the Pars gas field, and the American president was very enthusiastic about carrying out the operation but has now backed down after the serious Iranian attacks on the gas fields in the Gulf states.
