Khaberni - Media reports have revealed the Moroccan national team is nearing an unprecedented historic achievement by entering the top 5 in the global rankings issued by FIFA.
According to the Spanish newspaper Diario SPORT, this notable rise came after the African Football Confederation's controversial decision to crown them as the champions of the 2025 African Nations Cup, following the Moroccan victory in the final with a score of 3-0, after the Senegal team withdrew from the match in the final minutes, which was considered an explicit violation of the regulations, thus confirming the result in favor of "Atlas Lions".
The newspaper explained that the Moroccan team would increase its score to about 1763 points, after adding 26 new points, opening the path for them to advance to the fifth position globally, surpassing major teams like Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
This achievement, if officially confirmed, would represent a historic precedent for Moroccan football and reflects the significant progress that the team has seen in recent years.
This advancement is a continuation of a notably upward trajectory that began with the Moroccan team reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, an unprecedented achievement both Arab and African-wise, before continuing its strong presence on the international scene and proving its ability to compete with top national teams.
