Khaberni - On Thursday, the Kingdom will be influenced by a relatively cold and humid air mass accompanying a low-pressure area centered over Cyprus, resulting in a noticeable decrease in temperature, with weather being relatively cold, partially cloudy, and experiencing intermittent rain, especially in the western parts of the Kingdom accompanied by thunder and occasional hail.
In the evening hours, precipitation is expected to be heavy for a short period in some areas, and the winds will be westerly, active in speed with strong gusts sometimes exceeding 50 km/h, causing dust in desert areas.
The Meteorological Department in its report warns of the danger of flash floods in the evening and night, especially in the north and center of the Kingdom, and from the danger of high wind speeds and accompanying gusts in some areas, and from the danger of thunderstorms and hail, and from a decrease in horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds touching the ground in high mountainous areas and parts of the plains, and from reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in desert areas, and from the risk of slipping on roads experiencing rainfall.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in East Amman will range between 16 - 9 degrees Celsius, in West Amman 14 - 7, in the northern highlands 12 - 7, in the Sharah highlands 13 - 6, in desert areas 19 - 7, in plains areas 17 - 7, in the northern valleys 23 - 11, in the southern valleys 25 - 13, at the Dead Sea 24 - 12, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 23 - 12 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, a slight decrease in temperatures will occur, and weather will be cold and partially cloudy, with intermittent rain in the north and center of the Kingdom extending later in the afternoon to parts of the eastern and southern areas accompanied by thunder and hail, and precipitation is expected to be occasionally heavy and for a short period in the north of the Kingdom in the evening, and the winds will be west active in speed with strong gusts at times.
On Saturday, the Kingdom will continue to be affected by the low-pressure system, with a further slight decrease in temperatures, and weather being cold and partly cloudy, with intermittent rain in most parts of the Kingdom including the city of Aqaba and the Dead Sea area, and the precipitation is expected to be occasionally heavy, especially in the western parts of the Kingdom accompanied by thunder and hail, and the winds will be south-westerly to westerly active in speed with strong gusts at times.
