Khaberni - The Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom, Gou Wei, announced that his country has decided to provide urgent humanitarian aid to Jordan, along with 3 other countries in the region, amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East and the resulting humanitarian crises.
The ambassador expressed China's deep sympathy and condolences to the peoples of the region, noting that this aid is part of the efforts aimed at alleviating the severe humanitarian situations, especially in Jordan.
He emphasized that the outbreak of this war should have been avoided, affirming the futility of its continuation and the need to avoid further losses and sacrifices.
He also renewed China's support for the efforts of the countries in the region to maintain their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, pointing out that his country will continue its diplomatic efforts and mediations aimed at stopping the war and restoring security and stability.
He mentioned that the provision of humanitarian aid stems from China's commitment to humanitarian values and its eagerness to support the peoples of the region in facing current challenges.
In the context of bilateral relations, the ambassador confirmed that Jordan and China share a strategic partnership, where Beijing supports the Kingdom's efforts to maintain its security, stability, and enhance its economic growth, expressing his country's readiness to expand the horizons of joint cooperation in various fields to serve the paths of modernization and development in both countries.
