Khaberni - Arab Bank implemented a series of volunteer activities during the blessed month of Ramadan in collaboration with the Tkiyet Um Ali Association, as part of the bank's "Together" social responsibility program. The activities included a number of volunteer and humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting the most needy families by providing food aid across various provinces of the kingdom.
The initiatives saw wide participation from employees of Arab Bank, with over 174 volunteers participating in several community activities that included packing and preparing about 500 food parcels inside Tkiyet Um Ali’s warehouses according to the standards approved by the association, in addition to distributing 100 food parcels to deserving families in Jerash Governorate.
Bank volunteers also participated in preparing approximately 9,000 meals in Tkiyet Um Ali’s kitchens, as part of the daily program for fasting individuals implemented by the Tkiyet during the blessed month of Ramadan, alongside organizing the distribution of iftar meals in one of the associations in the capital province, where bank volunteers participated in distributing 250 iftar meals to the benefiting families inside the association's headquarters. In the context of these initiatives, Arab Bank also sponsored a day of mercy tables at the main headquarters of Tkiyet Um Ali, where employees organized, prepared, and presented iftar meals to 5,000 women, children, and men.
It is worth mentioning that Tkiyet Um Ali Association was established in 2003 and works to provide healthy and balanced food to the less fortunate families throughout the year in various provinces of the kingdom, through sustainable food programs that adhere to quality and food safety standards, contributing to enhancing food security and supporting the neediest groups in Jordan.
It should be noted here that Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy in terms of sustainability and social responsibility that reflects the bank's commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact by working closely with various related parties to achieve sustainable development. Arab Bank's corporate social responsibility program "Together," represents one of the fruits of this orientation, a multifaceted program that focuses on contributing to the development of different aspects of society through diverse initiatives and activities serving several sectors which include health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan support, and women empowerment.
