Khaberni - Preliminary data issued by the Central Bank indicates a total increase of 11.9% in workers' remittances received by the kingdom in January 2026, amounting to $373.6 million, while remittances sent from the kingdom increased by 13.3% to reach $152.8 million.
The data shows that remittances received from the UAE ranked first among total remittances received by the kingdom at 22.6%, followed by Saudi Arabia at 19.6%, then the United States at 17.3%, followed by Qatar at 9.1%, while other countries constituted 31.4% of the total remittances received.
As for the outgoing remittances, it is evident that Egypt represents the main destination for remittances sent from the kingdom, accounting for 38.2%, followed by Bangladesh (13.8%), then the Philippines (5.1%), while other countries constituted 42.9% of the total outgoing remittances.
