Khaberni - - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation concluded its annual "Towards Life" campaign, which it launches annually during the holy month of Ramadan with support from Zain Jordan, aimed at encouraging community members to support underprivileged cancer patients receiving treatment at the Hussein Cancer Center.
Zain also provided its subscribers the opportunity to contribute to the campaign through its network by sending a short text message containing the word "Life" or "Life" to the number 97070 to donate one dinar, or to the number 97075 to donate five dinars, which enhances community participation in supporting patients and contributing to their treatment.
In this regard, Nasreen Qattamsh, the General Manager of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Zain for its ongoing support to the Foundation, valuing the partnership between the two sides. She affirmed that this cooperation embodies an effective model for joint efforts aimed at saving the lives of cancer patients and providing treatment opportunities for them, noting that the company's role is not only limited to providing donation means but also reflects its commitment to humanitarian issues, social responsibility, and community service.
For its part, Zain explained that this support is an extension of the long-term strategic partnership that it has with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, as a distinguished supporter of the Foundation. This partnership represents an effective model of cooperation between the private sector and health and humanitarian institutions to serve the community and enhance treatment opportunities for underprivileged cancer patients, contributing to alleviating their burdens and those of their families, and supporting the Foundation's humanitarian message of saving lives and giving hope. It also reflects Zain's continuous annual support for the "Towards Life" campaign, highlighting its commitment to supporting the health sector and promoting charitable and humanitarian work in the Kingdom, within its sustainability management strategy and community responsibility programs that focus on supporting initiatives that make a positive and sustainable impact on individuals and society.
It should be noted that the "Towards Life" campaign is launched concurrently with the annual "Your Zakat is My Life" campaign during the holy month of Ramadan, which aims to support patients listed on the waiting list of the Hussein Cancer Center who do not have an entity covering their treatment costs. The Foundation has obtained an official fatwa from the Jordanian Iftaa' Council allowing it to receive Zakat funds and direct them to support cancer patients.
