Jordan First rainy condition for the southern regions in over 60 days

Khaberni - Attention turns to the southern regions of the kingdom with the anticipation of being affected by the first rainy condition in over 60 days, since the beginning of January, although some sporadic rains have fallen, the main weather systems have been absent from southern Jordan recently.

According to the latest data through computer simulation by Arab Weather, it is expected that during the evening, night of Wednesday/Thursday, and dawn of Thursday, the cold air will intensify in the high atmospheric layers and converge with an extension of the Red Sea depression, resulting in increased cloud cover and showers in several areas of the kingdom including the southern regions such as the heights of Karak and Tafilah and the Gulf and city of Aqaba and Wadi Rum and Wadi Disi basin and the adjacent areas and the mountains of Sharah and Wadi Musa and the southern Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea and Wadi Araba and the roads leading to them and desert areas including the city of Ma'an, Al-Jafr, reaching up to the Mudawara border area and the route leading to it.

These showers could sometimes be heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, and perhaps hail showers in some areas. These thunder showers will also be accompanied by strong gusts of wind, causing temporary dust storms in some desert areas, and causing waves to rise and disturb in the Gulf of Aqaba.

It is hoped that this weather condition will help improve the rainfall scenario in the south of the kingdom, in light of the need for additional rainfall for the remainder of the season.

Here, the specialists at Arab Weather have noted that this rainy condition is not limited only to the southern areas, but includes most of the kingdom's areas with varying intensity, with variations in rainfall intensity from one area to another, and we ask God for it to be a mercy and not a punishment, O Lord.
