The government is preparing to launch 7 rapid bus routes between provinces

Khaberni  - The Jordanian government is preparing to launch the second phase of the inter-provincial transportation project in mid-June, following the success of the project's first phase. This phase will include the addition of 7 new routes to enhance the connection between Amman and other provinces using 180 buses equipped with smart transport systems and a carrying capacity of up to 13.5 thousand passengers daily.

The new routes for the transportation project include the lines: Amman - Tafilah, Amman - Ma'an, Amman - Ajloun, Irbid - Zarqa, Zarqa - Mafraq, Jerash - Irbid, and Jerash – Mafraq.

This comes amid the ongoing expansion of rapid bus transit routes in the capital, and between the capital and the provinces, where the total number of users of the rapid bus network since its operation in 2021 has exceeded 64 million users, with more than 24 million users during 2025 alone.

Last year, the government operated two new rapid transit bus routes from the capital to the province of Madaba, and from the capital to the Balqa Applied University; adding to the three routes that connect the capital with Zarqa province, as well as the four that operate within the capital, Amman.
