Renewal of the partnership between Ayla and the Royal Jordanian Marine Sports Federation for the third year to support sailing

Khaberni - Ayla Development Oasis Company and the Royal Jordanian Federation for Marine Sports have renewed their memorandum of understanding for the third consecutive year, in a step that reflects the ongoing cooperation to develop marine sports in Ayla, particularly the sports of sailing and rowing, and to enhance their presence at both the national and international levels.

The renewal memorandum was signed by the CEO of Ayla Development Oasis Company, Engineer Sahl Dudin, and the President of the Royal Jordanian Federation for Marine Sports, Ramzi Kabariti, with several members of the executive management from Ayla and representatives of the federation in attendance.

According to the renewed memorandum of understanding, the two parties will continue to cooperate in organizing events for sailing and rowing on the Upper Lake of Beach No. 3 in Ayla, contributing to enhancing the activities of these sports and expanding their practice at the national level.

This renewal is part of Ayla's ongoing commitment to supporting marine sports as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, which focuses on developing the skills and abilities of the local community members, and strengthening partnerships with national sports entities to support the youth in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.

On this occasion, the CEO of Ayla Development Oasis Company, Engineer Sahl Dudin, said: «We are proud to renew our partnership with the Royal Jordanian Federation for Marine Sports, which has resulted in enhancing the presence of marine sports in Ayla over the past period, and we look forward to building on this cooperation to further develop these sports and transform Ayla into a prominent platform for them.»

He added that Ayla continues to develop training facilities at Beach No. (3) dedicated to marine sports, which hosts the training sessions of the national sailing team for the Optimist class, contributing to supporting training camps. Ayla is also working in cooperation with the federation to organize events and championships in the upcoming period, as part of a joint plan aimed at serving the local community, enhancing Jordanian sports, and promoting tourism.

 

For his part, the President of the Royal Jordanian Federation for Marine Sports, Ramzi Kabariti, said: «We take pride in renewing this partnership with Ayla Development Oasis Company, which has always been a supportive partner for national sports, and through this cooperation, we look forward to expanding training camp programs and hosting promotional championships, and developing the skills of Jordanian athletes in sailing and rowing.»

Ayla believes in the importance of integrating the tourism and sports ecosystems in Aqaba and the kingdom, focusing particularly on developing sports infrastructure, starting with the golf course covering an area of 800,000 square meters, which is the first grass golf course in Jordan and has hosted many local, regional, and international tournaments.

Ayla has also developed facilities dedicated to cycling and running sports to encourage a healthy lifestyle among visitors and residents, in addition to a water skiing park and adventure sports facilities, alongside supporting triathlons, duathlons, ultra-marathons, marathons, and half-marathons, as well as establishing comprehensive outdoor courts for tennis, basketball, and football equipped for training purposes and hosting official tournaments.
