Trump Former US President Who Wished He Had Struck Iran

Khaberni - US President Donald Trump said on two occasions that one of the former US presidents told him that he wished he had been the one to bomb Iran, while aides to Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Joe Biden denied any recent conversations between Trump and these presidents.

President Trump mentioned in statements to journalists on Monday that he spoke to one of the former US presidents (he did not disclose his name) and that the latter wished he had done what Trump did in launching a war on Iran.

When one of the journalists asked Trump about the former president he was referring to, Trump did not specify his identity but said it was not George Bush, and refrained from answering when asked if it was Clinton.

However, President Trump told the journalists that this former president "belongs to a party suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome but he is a smart person who likes me and I like him," in an indirect reference to the Democratic Party.

Trump continued, "I don’t want to get him in trouble, and I can ask him if he wants me to reveal his name."

Denial from former presidents
In contrast, the American channel "NBC" quoted an aide to former president George W. Bush saying that there had been no contact between Bush and Trump, and an aide to former president Bill Clinton told the same channel that the person Trump was referring to was not Clinton.

An aide to former president Barack Obama stated that there have been no recent talks between Obama and Trump.

"NBC" reported from an informed source that the former president Trump was referring to was not Joe Biden.

According to the American channel, the White House has not yet responded to a request for comment on the denial of the former presidents about any conversations between them and Trump.
