Khaberni - The social committee at the Faculty of Nursing in Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized two separate health awareness seminars titled "Anemia and Therapeutic Pathways in Mothers and Children Under Five", and «Misconceptions and Rumors About Family Planning Methods», at the Ain Al-Basha Health Center.
The first seminar targeted medical staff and nursing care providers, aiming to enhance health awareness about the causes and symptoms of anemia in mothers and children, ways to prevent it, in addition to reviewing suitable treatment pathways, the importance of early diagnosis, and proper nutrition in reducing this common health issue.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Khulood Bataarseh and Dr. Inas Badr, where it witnessed positive interaction from the audience and productive scientific discussion about the best practices in maternal and child healthcare.
The second seminar targeted mothers and women in the local community. It aimed to correct misconceptions related to family planning methods and highlight the most prevalent rumors about them, in addition to clarifying accurate scientific information related to the types of these methods, their mechanism of action, and their health benefits, which contributes to empowering women to make healthy decisions based on knowledge and awareness.
The seminar was also presented by Dr. Inas Badr and Dr. Khulood Bataarseh, where it witnessed positive interaction from the audience and fruitful discussion, during which questions from the participants about family planning methods and their importance in maintaining the health of the mother and family were answered.
The organization of such seminars is part of the efforts by the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University to enhance its community role and contribute to spreading health culture, improving the efficiency of health personnel, and enhancing the quality of care provided to mothers and children, contributing to the improvement of women's and family health in society.
