Khaberni - Oil derivatives prices recorded a noticeable increase during the second week of the current March, according to the global price bulletin, amidst varying increases that included gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil, while the price of liquefied petroleum gas remained stable.
According to data published by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the average price of gasoline (Octane 95) rose to $1,169 per ton, compared to $902 in the first week of the month, an increase of about 29.6%.
The average price of gasoline (Octane 90) also increased to $1,073 per ton, compared to $857 in the first week, representing an increase of 25.2%.
The price of diesel rose to $1,271 per ton, compared to $988, an increase of 28.6%, while the price of kerosene rose to $1,346 per ton compared to $1,290, an increase of 4.3%.
In the same context, the price of fuel oil jumped to $752 per ton compared to $566, an increase of 32.9%, which is the highest rate among oil derivatives.
Conversely, the average price of liquefied petroleum gas remained stable during the current March at $541 per ton, unchanged from its levels in the previous February.
On the crude oil front, the average price of Brent crude in the second week of March rose to $96 per barrel, compared to $85 in the first week, an increase of 12.9%.
