Second tragedy shakes behind the scenes of Moulna A raid that took the life of the cinematographer and his daughter

Khaberni - A state of sadness prevailed in the artistic and media circles following the announcement of the martyrdom of the Lebanese cinematographer and director, Mohammed Shehab, and his daughter, affected by their injuries after the Israeli raid targeting a residential building in the Armoun area in Mount Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese press, his departure came as a shock to everyone who knew him personally, especially as he was involved in the current Ramadan season in the photography team of the series "Moulana" which is currently airing in the Ramadan drama season of 2026.

Farewell in the "Moulana" backstage
The star of the series, Syrian actor Tim Hassan, mourned the deceased via the story feature on his Instagram account, confirming that his presence will be missed by everyone who worked with him and described him as a "skilled photographer," and wrote: "May God have mercy on Mohammed Shehab and his daughter, and heal and give patience to his wife."

The heroine of "Moulana," artist Nour Ali, offered her condolences to the Shehab family and wrote via Instagram: "May God have mercy on Mohammed Shehab and his daughter, heartfelt condolences to your family, and wishing your wife a speedy recovery. Mohammed Shehab was the drone cinematographer in the Moulana series."

Hilda Khalifeh and Liliane Nemri also mourned him, expressing their profound sadness at his departure.

Career of the "drone" cinematographer
Mohammed Shehab was a prominent name in the field of drone cinematography in Lebanon, having participated in a number of cinematic and television works, including "Al Zend" and "Al Heyba", and was known for his excellence in executing complex aerial shots.

According to Lebanese newspapers, his name was also linked to documenting the activities of the Lebanese army as he handled the filming of military drills and official occasions, making him a well-known name in military and media photography.

Second loss for the "Moulana" team
Mohammed Shehab's departure comes just a few days after the death of the battle designer and action scenes designer, Mohammed Ali, affected by his injuries in his town of Jibsheet in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon amidst the ongoing Israeli raids on the area, an incident that was another shock within the "Moulana" work team. Tim Hassan profoundly mourned him.

Throughout his career, Mohammed Ali participated in the execution and design of action scenes in a number of Arab drama works, among them the series "Moulana", as well as other works like "Al Atawla," "Al Ajhar," and "Bal Haram," collaborating with more than one Arab production company.

"Moulana" loses two of its makers
The series "Moulana" airs daily during the Ramadan drama season of 2026, and is among the prominent works that the late Mohammed Ali contributed to by designing and executing action and battle scenes, as well as Mohammed Shehab’s contribution by filming drone shots.

The series stars Tim Hassan, alongside Mona Wassef, Fares Al Helo and Nour Ali, directed by Samer Al Barqawi and produced by Sadek Anwar Sabah.
