Khaberni - The latest weather forecasts issued by Arabia Weather indicate that the weather in Jordan during the Eid al-Fitr holiday will be relatively to very cold, with chances of rain showers periodically in various regions of the kingdom.
The CEO of Arabia Weather, Mohammad Al-Shaker, said in his talk with Roya TV that the preliminary forecasts indicate that the kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions on Wednesday evening and during the night of Wednesday/Thursday, with expected thunderstorms especially during the late night hours.
Al-Shaker explained that Friday will witness relatively cold weather with the appearance of clouds, in addition to the chance of scattered rain showers in the north of the kingdom.
He added that the current weather indicators indicate that Jordan will be affected from Saturday afternoon and evening until Sunday and Monday by a low pressure accompanied by a cold air mass, which will lead to cold and partly cloudy to cloudy weather, interspersed with periods of rain showers in various regions of the kingdom.
In relation to the sighting of the hilal for the month of Shawwal, Al-Shaker indicated that many Arab countries will investigate the hilal on Wednesday, but that seeing it will be astronomically impossible due to the moon not having formed yet, in addition to the moon setting before the sun.
He clarified that the weather in Jordan on Thursday, which is the local day for sighting the hilal, will be affected by humid maritime currents coming from the Mediterranean Sea, which may lead to continued rainfall during the daytime hours, with the weather expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in most of the western regions during the sighting.
He pointed out that the Wadi Rum area and the far south of the kingdom might experience clear or slightly cloudy skies, which would allow the possibility of observing the hilal from those regions.
These forecasts remain preliminary and subject to update as the date of Eid al-Fitr approaches, as indicated by Al-Shaker.
