The Revolutionary Guard warns against targeting Kharg Island It will create another horrifying equation

Khaberni - The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's Naval Force, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, warned on Sunday night of an attack on the Iranian island "Kharg," after Washington had previously announced targeting "military objectives" there.
On his "X" platform account, Admiral Tangsiri wrote: "You have once tested Iran through the Strait of Hormuz," adding: "If intelligent control of the Strait has drawn a new indicator for oil prices, then attacking (the island of) Kharg will create another horrifying and new equation for the prices and distribution of energy in the world."
President Donald Trump had announced on Saturday that the American forces targeted the island located in the northeastern corner of the Gulf, confirming the destruction of "all military targets" on it.

Trump added that the American military did not target the oil infrastructure on the island during this strike but warned that this option may be considered in the future if Iran interferes in the Strait of Hormuz and prevents ships from passing freely and safely.

On Sunday evening, Trump claimed that "the United States can destroy the pipelines on Kharg Island in 5 minutes and the Iranians can do nothing about it."
He later stated to "NBC News" that the American military "completely destroyed Kharg Island, but did not touch the energy lines because rebuilding them could take years," hinting at striking them again.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that "occupying Kharg Island would be a bigger mistake than attacking it."

Iran also announced that the American attack on the island did not result in any casualties among civilians or military personnel.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Bazeshkian told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron during a phone call that "the recent attacks on the Iranian islands of Kharg and Abu Musa had been carried out using the territories of some Gulf countries."

It is worth mentioning that on Wednesday, the central Iranian headquarters "Khatam al-Anbiya" issued a stern warning to the United States and its allies, threatening a "crushing and destructive" response to any attack targeting the energy infrastructure and ports of Iran.

Iran threatened that "in the event of such aggression, all the oil and gas infrastructure in the region, which benefits the United States and its Western allies, will be burned and destroyed."
