Khaberni - Security forces in the city of Al-Bukamal in eastern Syria seized a huge warehouse filled with weapons, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, and various ammunition.
The Internal Security Directorate in Al-Bukamal, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Agency, conducted a precise security operation that resulted in the seizure of a huge warehouse of weapons and ammunition based on reliable intelligence information.
The seizures focused on a wide array of advanced weapons, notably:
Anti-tank weapons:
Guided "Kornet" missiles.
"Malutka" (AT-3 Sagger) missiles
Light "LW" missiles.
Various types of "RPG" launchers.
Anti-aircraft weapons:
Portable "SAM-7" missiles (SA-7 Grail)
Heavy Weapons:
73mm caliber "SPG-9" gun.
12.7mm caliber heavy "Dushka" machine gun
Ammunition and support equipment:
Mortar shells of various calibers.
Large quantities of live diverse ammunition.
Military clothing and insignias from the former regime.
All seized items were confiscated and transferred to the warehouses of the competent authorities to ensure their safeguarding and to prevent their use in any hostile or terrorist activities, while investigations continue to uncover the logistical networks supporting this warehouse.
