AlSafadi Jordan will take all steps to protect its citizens and ensure its stability and sovereignty

Khaberni -   Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi discussed in a phone call today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, the serious escalations in the region, and their impacts on international security and stability, within the framework of ongoing coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries.

During the call, Al-Safadi and Abdel Ati discussed prospects for restoring calm through the activation of diplomacy, ensuring the security and stability of the region, and respecting the sovereignty of states and international law. They also discussed ways to activate mechanisms of coordination and joint Arab action to face challenges.

‏Both ministers renewed their condemnation of the unjustified Iranian attacks on Jordanian territory and that of other Arab countries, rejecting these aggressions as unjustified escalation and a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of states.

Al-Safadi affirmed that the kingdom will take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens, and its security, stability, and sovereignty, and fully stands in solidarity with the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council in all the steps they take to confront Iranian aggressions and protect their citizens, security, and stability.

‏Abdel Ati renewed his country’s full solidarity with the kingdom in facing these aggressions.

The ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation regarding developments in the region.
