Thought it was a scam An email turns a tenant into a millionaire by winning 50 million

Khaberni - An Australian father from the suburb of "Wyndham Vale" in Melbourne achieved an extraordinary victory on Thursday night, after he alone won the grand "Powerball" prize valued at 50 million Australian dollars, transforming him from a tenant to one of the city's wealthiest individuals in moments.

The lucky father discovered his historic win while watching an Australian Football League (AFL) match between the "Richmond Tigers" and "Carlton Blues" from his couch at home.

In an exciting turn of events, the winner told representatives of "The Lott" (the official lottery organization in Australia) that he almost missed the opportunity due to his suspicion over the legitimacy of the email informing him of his win, as he deleted the first message immediately upon receiving it, thinking it was a scam or spam mail.

The winner stated: "I saw the first email and didn’t bother to open it; I just deleted it immediately, thinking it was not genuine. But when a second message arrived, I felt curious and decided to verify through the official app, and then I was shocked to see a balance of 50 million dollars... It’s unbelievable."

According to his media statements, the winner was watching the match with his son when the news of his fortune struck, but he chose to wait before informing his wife, who was out of the house at the time.

He commented on this, saying: "I’m waiting for my wife to return to share this great news with her. I know she won’t easily believe it, but I’m sure once she sees the ticket, she will be overwhelmed with tears from the shock and joy."

Despite the enormity of the amount, the Australian father affirmed his commitment to remaining "humble", noting that his priority is securing housing for his family after years of living in rental homes, adding "We could hardly believe that we would own our own home someday, but now we’re going to buy a house in the same suburb, and I will also buy houses for my children so we can all live without the burden of mortgage loans."

The winner also emphasized his desire to give back to the community, explaining that he had "always envisioned" this wish, and now plans to devote his time to activities that serve the local community and help others.

According to the official organization, this father was the sole winner of the top category grand prize in all of Australia, while three other individuals shared the second category prize, each receiving an amount of 295,715 Australian dollars.
