Khaberni - The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that the Cyber Crime Division of the General Directorate for Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security, has managed to arrest 6 individuals, following their distribution of recorded clips related to the effects of the nefarious Iranian aggression, sympathizing with and glorifying its hostile acts, in addition to spreading false news and inciting targeting sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain, wherein these clips were shared via their social media accounts, which could mislead the public opinion, spread fear among citizens and residents, and harm the security and public order.
The ministry confirmed on its official website that the necessary legal procedures have been taken and the arrested individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The ministry urged everyone to obtain information from its official sources and not to circulate or repost clips or unreliable news, to avoid legal accountability, and to maintain the country's security and safety.
