Report Israel informs the United States of the depletion of its interceptor missiles

Khaberni  - The United States informed Israel a few days ago that it is suffering from a severe shortage of ballistic missile interception systems amid the ongoing conflict with Iran, as revealed by the American news site "Semaphore".

The report mentioned that Israel entered the current war already suffering from a shortage of interceptor missiles that were launched during last summer's conflict. The Israeli long-range defense system has been under pressure under Iranian attacks, especially as Tehran uses cluster munitions that deplete the stock further.

A U.S. official confirmed to the site that the United States does not suffer from a similar shortage of its interceptor missiles, saying, "We have everything we need to protect our bases, personnel in the region, and our interests."

He added that Israel "finds solutions to address" the shortage it has, indicating that the administration had been aware of Israel’s reduced capacity for months and "anticipated and preempted it".

It is believed that the United States used Patriot interceptor missiles worth approximately $2.4 billion in the first five days of this war. Last June, Washington launched more than 150 interceptor missiles from the "THAAD" system, about a quarter of the U.S. stock at that time. The Pentagon took steps in January to significantly increase production of this system.

While both the American and Israeli sides affirm their readiness, talk varies about the duration of the war. Trump stated that it could end "soon" and described it as a "short-term mission," but he also said that it "will continue as long as necessary."

Conversely, the foreign policy advisor to the Iranian regime, Kamal Kharrazi, stated that the country sees no option for diplomacy at the moment and expressed readiness for a prolonged fight.
