Khaberni - Al-Wehdat team ignited the league with an exciting win over its guest, Al-Hussein Irbid club, with a score of 3-1.
This came at the end of round 20 of the Professionals Football League, in the match that brought the two teams together at King Abdullah II Stadium in Quweismeh.
At the 31st minute, Al-Hussein Irbid's player, Mohammad Abu Ghoush, scored a goal, but it was canceled due to a (hole in the goal) according to the decision of the match referee, Adham Makhadmeh.
Mohanad Samrin scored the first goal for Al-Wehdat at the 65th minute, and at the 82nd minute of the match, Al-Hussein Irbid successfully equalized from the penalty spot through Yousef Abu Jalboush "Saisa". Al-Wehdat regained the lead with a decisive goal at the third minute of the added time by the player Shawqi Al-Qaz’ah, and at the 90+6th minute, Mohanad Samrin scored the third goal for Al-Wehdat.
Despite Al-Hussein Irbid's loss, they continued to top the standings of the Professionals League with 40 points, while this victory boosted Al-Wehdat’s place to third position with 37 points.
In the second match, which took place at Petra Stadium, Al-Baqa’a defeated Al-Sarhan by four goals to two.
Al-Sarhan took the lead at the 10th minute with a goal scored by Hamza Mahrous, before Aliou Mbai equalized for Al-Baqa’a at the 28th minute. Al-Sarhan regained the lead through Mohammad Sanduqa at the 45th minute of the match. Later, Al-Baqa’a equalized again through Khaled Issam at the 64th minute, Hamza Al-Sayfi scored the third goal for Al-Baqa’a from a penalty spot at the 83rd minute, and Khaled Sayahin scored the fourth goal at the 88th minute.
Al-Baqa’a remained in the seventh position with 24 points, while Al-Sarhan continued in the tenth and last place with 6 points.
