Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump said that "several countries," especially those affected by Iran's attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz, will send warships in coordination with the United States to keep the strait open and safe.
Trump added on the (Truth Social) platform, on Saturday, that the United States "has destroyed 100% of the Iranian military capabilities," indicating that the risks still exist through the possibility of Tehran resorting to using drones, mines, or short-range missiles to target navigation in the waterway.
He explained that countries including China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom may join this naval effort, aiming to prevent any threats to the strait, which he described as subject to "artificial restrictions."
In this context, Trump mentioned that the United States will continue its military operations along the coasts, including targeting Iranian boats and vessels, affirming that his country will work "in any way" to ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains "open, safe, and free."
In a separate post, Trump denied media reports that talked about the destruction of five refueling planes at a base in Saudi Arabia, clarifying that the base was attacked days ago, but the planes were not destroyed, and that four of them had returned to service, while the fifth will return soon.
Trump accused media outlets, including "New York Times" and "Wall Street Journal," of spreading misleading information, considering their reports "contrary to the facts."
