Khaberni - The toll from floods and landslides in southern Ethiopia has risen to 80 dead.
Many are still missing, and thousands have been displaced, with search and rescue operations still ongoing.
Local media reported that the Ethiopian House of Representatives has declared three days of mourning starting this Saturday.
The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said the organization has sent rapid response teams to the affected areas to support local health authorities.
