Khaberni - The specialized control and inspection staff in the Public Corporation for Food and Drug, today, Saturday, closed an unlicensed pickle workshop in Zarqa - Wadi Al-Hajr, for failing to obtain the necessary approvals from the institution and relevant authorities.
The institution clarified in a press release that its teams seized about 70 tons of the confiscated pickles, preparing them for destruction according to the norms, and added that the violations included the use of containers not intended for contact with food and the use of preservatives.
The institution indicated that it has started the process of referring the relevant parties to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
The institution urges citizens not to purchase food products except from properly licensed establishments that are subject to routine supervision by the institution, and has invited the public to communicate with it at any time through the toll-free complaint hotline 117114 and via the WhatsApp application at the number 0795632000.
