Khaberni - Jordan condemned, on Saturday, in the strongest terms the targeting of the General Consulate of the United Arab Emirates in the brotherly Iraqi Kurdistan region for the second time within a week, which resulted in the injury of two consulate security members and damage to the building.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs stressed the need to respect international law, the Geneva Conventions of 1949, and the Vienna Convention of 1961 on Diplomatic Relations, to ensure the protection of diplomatic missions and their members.
The Ministry also affirmed Jordan's solidarity and unwavering stand with the brotherly United Arab Emirates.
