Khaberni - Launch and operation of the high-frequency bus line (107) between Amman and Al-Salt, in the presence of the Minister of Public Works Engineer Maher Abu Al-Semn, and the Minister of Transport Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, and the Chairman of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh.
The new bus route is part of the Greater Amman Municipality's plan to provide a modern, safe, and organized public transport system, aimed at reducing the transportation crisis and lowering the number of vehicles between the cities of Amman and Al-Salt, by enhancing connectivity between Amman and the rest of the provinces through a sophisticated transport network.
The route, which is 22.5 km long, connects Sweileh station to Al-Balqa Applied University and includes the operation of (8) modern buses on a fixed schedule and regular timelines.
A bus will be dispatched every (20) minutes, with a total of (80) trips per day to ensure continuity of service for passengers including students, employees, and visitors without delay.
The high-frequency bus route allows travel from Al-Salt to any station inside Amman, via Sweileh, at a cost of (65) piasters, and from Al-Salt to the other provinces, via the rapid bus, at one dinar.
The high-frequency bus route between Amman and Al-Salt starts from the Sweileh rapid bus station, passing by the Chechen Mosque stop, the end of Princess Raya Street stop, Kamaliyah roundabout stop, Um Al-Naaj roundabout stop, Khalil Al-Abdallat complex stop, Al-Saru neighborhood stop, the gate of Amman Ahliyya University stop, the Licensing signal stop, the Yazidi Triangle stop, Shafa Al-Amiriya stop, Diwan Qaqish clan stop, government circles complex stop, Jabel Al-Quds stop, and ends at Al-Balqa Applied University in Al-Salt on the outbound journey.
While it passes by the Hospital neighborhood (Al-Mugharibeen) stop, Jabel Al-Quds stop, Al-Salt Hospital stop, the government circles complex stop, Diwan Qaqish clan stop, Dababneh roundabout stop, the Directorate of Labor stop, Licensing signal stop, Amman Ahliyya University stop, Um Al-Naaj roundabout stop, Abu Khalaf Mosque stop, Kamaliyah roundabout stop, Sweileh area directorate stop, ending at the final stop of Al-Rukabi School for Boys on the way back.
The rapid bus buses operate on a smart trip planning system, in addition to being equipped with free Wi-Fi service throughout the trip, electronic payment system, surveillance cameras, designs adapted for the elderly and those with mobility disabilities, air-conditioning systems, and safety tools that meet the highest international standards to provide comfort for passengers.
