Khaberni - Residents facing the Applied Science University Stadium in the capital Amman are suffering from ongoing street excavations for more than a month, without any rehabilitation or paving. This has led to the spread of mud during winter and dust as temperatures rise.
Citizens confirm that the excavations have been left as they are without treatment, causing daily disturbance to the residents and harming some income sources of nearby stores due to difficulty in accessing them and reduced activity in the area. They have demanded the concerned authorities to expedite the street rehabilitation and conclude the delayed works, to minimize the damages suffered by the residents and the commercial shop owners.
The citizens are appealing to the concerned authorities to intervene to restore normalcy, treat the excavations, and rehabilitate the streets to reduce the damages suffered by the residents and owners of commercial shops in the area, and to communicate with the responsible contractor to rectify the situation at the site.
