Qatar Ministry of Interior Announces Temporary Evacuation of Specific Areas as a Precautionary Measure

Khaberni - The Qatar Ministry of Interior announced that the competent authorities temporarily evacuate some areas as a precautionary measure in order to ensure the safety of citizens and residents in light of the Iranian attacks targeting locations within the state.
The ministry released a statement on its "X" platform account early this Saturday morning stating: "The Ministry of Interior notifies that the competent authorities are evacuating a number of specific areas temporarily as a precautionary measure, in the interest of public safety until the danger has passed."
The statement added: "The ministry urges everyone to obtain information from official sources and to adhere to the issued instructions."

Earlier on Friday, Qatar's Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, confirmed that the security situation in the State of Qatar is stable, emphasizing that the competent authorities will not hesitate to take any measures that ensure the stability of the country and the protection of the community.

In an interview broadcasted by Qatar Television, the minister said, "The past five years have seen continuous work in preparation for such circumstances, where all state institutions operate as one team to maintain the safety of citizens and residents and the stability of the country."

He pointed out that the Civil Defense Council plays a pivotal role in coordinating between the relevant bodies to ensure that plans are in accordance with field execution without any duplication of responsibilities, while carrying out advanced exercises and scenarios aimed at ensuring the highest levels of readiness and the ability to deal efficiently with emergency situations.

The minister described the National Command Center as one of the fundamental pillars of the command and control system, noting its operation around the clock through advanced systems for monitoring, analysis, and information exchange, which enhances the speed of response and decision-making.

He revealed that the central operations room had handled over 5000 reports recently, including more than 600 reports related to shrapnel at various locations around the country.

These measures come at a time when the Middle East region is experiencing a significant escalation against the backdrop of the war waged by the United States and Israel on Iran since February 28, with Tehran's response through launching rockets and drones targeting Israel as well as American sites and interests in Arab countries, leading to casualties, injuries, and damage to civilian properties amid condemnation from the affected countries.
