Khaberni - Abu Dhabi Police announced on Saturday that they had detained 45 people, including foreigners, on charges of "filming locations" and circulating "inaccurate and misleading information", amidst the ongoing war in the Middle East and Iranian attacks on the Gulf.
The police stated in a release, "The Criminal Investigation Department of Abu Dhabi Police detained 45 individuals of various nationalities for filming various locations during the ongoing events, and publishing them on social media platforms".
They added that these individuals also "circulated inaccurate and misleading information, which could stir public opinion and spread rumors among the community".
