A video caught my attention, about a noble authentic Kuwaiti man, apparently with strong national sentiment. I couldn’t have the honor of knowing his name. He says the following in this very short video:— ((I am in a country they call the home of everyone, the home of the Arabs, the home for those who have no home, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, God bless you, God bless you, people of Jordan)).
My beloved country Jordan, it has unique values that show its authenticity and its Arab identity.
Jordan, a home for those cornered by the world. A home for those not sheltered by any other home. A home for those evicted from their homes. A home for those displaced from their homes. A home for those who have no home.
My beloved country, home of the oppressed, home of the exiled, home of the crushed, home of the wronged, home of the chased, home of the broken, my country heals its wounds. A home that faced disasters, a home where the world turned dark and closed off.
Jordan, the home of generosity, the home of nobility, the home of brave men, the home of authenticity, the home of gallantness, the home of valor, the home of dignity, the home of all Arabs.
Jordan, a home for those without a roof to shelter them from winter cold and summer heat. Jordan, truly a home for everyone.
Jordan hosts all Arabs, everyone whose life has become unbearable and who could not find a roof to shelter them and a home to care for them.
Despite limited resources, weak capabilities, and financial strain, Jordan never abandoned any Arab who sought aid and refuge. Jordan accepts all Arabs regardless of their nationality, religion, ethnicity, or sect.
Jordan hosted those who were hostile towards it, harboring grudges and hatred. Jordan hosted its critics, its enemies, and even those who despised it.
Jordanians look at an Arab with brotherly love, unity of language and destiny, and a relation of blood and genes.
The majority of Jordanians who were opposed to the regime were integrated, recruited, and ascended to the highest offices.
In summary and directly, everything mentioned heretofore is a product of a blend between ((the Hashemite tradition)), ((and the generosity and tolerance of Jordanian tribes, clans, and families)).
Jordan hosted the late President / Suwar al-Dahab, who chose Jordan as his permanent residence. And I had the honor to commemorate him in an article titled ((Suwar al-Dahab.. A Bracelet of Gold)).
Jordan was chosen by the famous heroic late Iraqi Foreign Minister / Tariq Aziz (Abu Ziad) to bury his body in it, specifically in the new Khulood cemetery in the city of Madaba.
Jordan was chosen by the scholar Dr. / Zaghloul El-Naggar, to live out his final days. He died in Jordan, months ago, and was buried in the capital Amman, Naour area, Um Al Quttein cemetery.
Jordan embraced and welcomed the noble lady / Raghad Saddam Hussein, treated her well, honored her, and refused to hand her over to the Iraqi regime despite all pressures exerted by the new Iraqi leadership.
Jordan hosted and granted Jordanian citizenship to the nationalistic Syrian-born late / Munif Al-Razzaz. Although he died in Baghdad, he was buried in his family's graveyard in Jordan.
Jordan hosted the nationalistic Syrian thinker, the late / Akram al-Hourani, in his last days. He lived and died and was buried in Jordan. Although he requested to die in his homeland Syria, his request was denied. When the late / Hussein learned about it, he invited him to live in Jordan and provided him with decent housing and a good life.
The list goes on and cannot be summed up or all the Arab figures that Jordan hosted with love, affection, tolerance, and generosity can be named.
Jordan is tolerant, Jordan is great with the values of its people. Jordan is a home for those who find no home. Jordan is a home for all Arabs, a pride of all Arabs with its values and tolerance.
I am also honored to mention that my country Jordan hosted the Iraqi brothers—sons of the great Iraq—and the Syrian brothers, Lebanese brothers from all their political spectrums, party affiliations, ideologies, religious, and ethnic groups.
And also Jordan hosted the Yemeni brothers, Libyans, Sudanese, Egyptians, and others.
I felt great happiness and pride when I heard this video and dozens of videos that spread from our brothers from all the Arab Gulf countries, expressing their joy and pride in their second home, beloved Jordan.
The Jordanian nation is nationalistic by nature, since the foundation of modern Jordan. Thus, Jordanians are inherently nationalistic, with Arab genes deeply rooted in them. How could they not be when the first Jordanian prime minister was a Druze from Lebanon.
Jordanians supported and fought alongside the legendary Libyan fighter / Omar Mukhtar. Jordanians supported and fought with the Syrian brothers in their struggle against French colonialism. Jordanians supported and fought with the Palestinians in their struggle to prevent the establishment of the Zionist entity. Someone might say that I did not mention Palestinians when listing Arab nationalities, and the reason is that most Palestinians have been Jordanians since the unification of the bank.
For those who don’t know, about (31%) of the population of Jordan consists of Arabs who are not Jordanian.
What's more important than all mentioned is that Jordan is distinguished for none of its citizens ever losing their life due to opposition. In fact, Jordan assimilated the majority of its opposition, overlooked their actions, some of whom entered into state affairs and ascended to the highest positions.
Lord, protect my beloved country Jordan and all Arab countries, especially the great Iraq, for the favor it extended to me in my university education, and the Emirates of Zayed al-Khayr, for the favor of working there in times of difficulty. O Allah, protect all Arab countries from the plots of plotters, the ambushing of the ambushers, the envy of the envious, the targeting of the targeted, the hatred of the haters.. O Allah, amen, O Lord of the Worlds.
And I conclude with verses from a Nabati poem by my classmate, companion in exile, and lifelong friend, the late poet / Fadel Al-Za’ebe, who says:—
Prepare your packs / Head to my people’s land / You'll find generosity and the sweetness of my people there / Jordan, oh home of the Arabs / And the guest has his place with us / We are those who stand by loyalty / and your head we lift high / Behold us / pride walks through our midst / Behold us, strong men / If gallantry fails in the world you’ll find us / Land planted with love and goodness / And a drop of water that quenches us / In joy, we frolic like a span of water / And when upset, the world turns to a sea of blood, tighter than an eyelet / Hungry, we share the bite / On injustice and hunger we share it / Not once did our guesthouse shy away with us / Behold us / Behold us / pride walks through our midst / Brave and we pledge to death / Defy with a mighty voice / Defy and the melody is gunfire / It cheers, proudly in our hands / Confused among us / Doesn’t know our joy from our condolences / And doesn’t know if we face death / Or if death meets us / Behold us, pride walks through our midst.
