Khaberni - The "Wall Street Journal" reports, citing U.S. officials, that the United States is sending a high-alert military landing group and a reconnaissance unit of the Marines to the Middle East.
The newspaper stated: "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has approved a request from the U.S. Central Command.. to form a high-readiness amphibious group and an accompanying naval exploration unit, which typically consists of several ships and 5,000 Marines."
The "Wall Street Journal" mentioned that part of these forces and warships have already arrived in the region.
This military escalation comes at a time when the United States and Israel have been conducting a widespread operation against Iran since February 28, with ongoing exchanges of missile strikes and drones, and escalating tensions throughout the Middle East.
